Raff + Grund is an experienced tank and plant manufacturer for the pharmaceutical, food and chemical industries, and others. The production spectrum ranges from the smallest reactors and pressure vessels to tanks with a volume of over 100 m³.
The vessels and units are individually planned and manufactured according to your specifications. Pressure vessels are manufactured as standard in accordance with the Pressure Equipment Directive PED 2014/68/EU, EN 13445, ASME U-Stamp or SELO (China Manufacturer License).
Stainless steels and special materials are processed in all grades such as 1.4301 (304), 1.4307 (304L), 1.4404 (316L), 1.4435 (316L), 1.4539 (904L) or 1.4571 (316Ti), as well as Hastelloy C22 (2.4602), C276 (2.4819) or titanium grade 2 (3.7035). Surfaces are available in ground, mirror-polished or electropolished versions with defined roughnesses up to Ra <= 0.2 µm.
VESSELS + COMPONENTS FOR PHARMACEUTICAL / BIOTECHNOLOGY
Raff + Grund manufactures process vessels or batch tanks, fermenters and bioreactors, storage, WFI or CIP tanks. Great importance is attached to GMP-compliant design and construction.
As part of the factory acceptance test (FAT), we can also provide tests on the surface, ferrite content, cleanability (riboflavin test), drain test, material determination (spectral analysis) or video endoscopy.
Further tests of the tank or system are possible as part of the SAT. On request, we can also provide qualification (DQ, IQ, OQ), start-up and training of the systems and vessels at the customer's premises worldwide.

Raff + Grund manufactures process tanks, preparation and storage tanks, WFI or CIP tanks for the cosmetics industry. Great importance is attached to GMP-compliant design and construction.
As part of the factory acceptance test (FAT), tests can be carried out on the surface, ferrite content, cleanability (riboflavin test), drain test, material determination (spectral analysis) or video endoscopy.
Further tests of the vessel or unit are possible as part of the SAT. We can also provide the start-up and training on request.

Optimum cleanability of the components and careful handling of the products are the focus. We are experts in the requirements of the food industry.
Tests such as pressure testing and TÜV approval, dye penetrant testing, surface roughness measurement, weld seam documentation or video endoscopy can be provided during factory acceptance testing (FAT).

Raff + Grund manufactures vessels and components for the chemical industry, such as process vessels, reactors and storage tanks. The production spectrum ranges from the smallest reactors and vessels to tanks with a volume of over 100 m³.
We process all stainless steels as well as materials such as aluminum, titanium and nickel-based alloys (e.g. Hastelloy).

ATEX VESSELS IN EXPLOSIVE ATMOSPHERE
Special requirements must be observed for the safe operation of vessels in potentially explosive environments, whether due to a dust or gas atmosphere inside or outside the vessel.
Raff + Grund has extensive experience in the construction of mobile or stationary vessels in accordance with the ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU. In addition to the structural design of the vessels, all equipment components such as controls, agitators, valves, etc. are selected accordingly to meet all necessary requirements.
WHG TANKS FOR THE SAFE STORAGE OF WATER HAZARDOUS SUBSTANCES
According to the Water Resources Act (WHG), water-polluting liquids must be stored for environmental reasons in such a way that groundwater or surface water cannot be contaminated.
Raff + Grund is a specialist company in accordance with §19.1 of the Water Resources Act. Our vessels are designed accordingly, manufactured to a high quality and tested to ensure that these requirements are met in all respects.
Raff + Grund also manufactures sumps in accordance with the WHG, which are also designed, built, tested and provided with a type plate.
VACUUM TECHNOLOGY
Vacuum technology vessels and components are often used by the semiconductor industry or research institutes. Special manufacturing methods must be used for the construction of these components.
Raff + Grund has experience in the construction of vessels and components for vacuum and high-vacuum technology. As part of the factory acceptance test (FAT), tests such as the dye penetration method or the helium leakage test can be provided.
